ABOUT US:
Mark, Jud and I would like to welcome you to our mini-farm. We have both lived in Hardin County for most of our lives, and when Mark’s retirement from the Air Force was looming close, we decided to build our ‘forever’ home on the eleven acres of ground we owned.

Our farm consisted of three horses, eleven acres of land, and a beat up Ford tractor when we started. I had been raised in the country and Mark had no experience of living on a farm, just a love of the outdoors.

His inexperience didn’t keep him from putting his heart into the work it took for us to make a farm out of a parcel of land. He learned to run fences, ride a horse, drive a tractor, build a barn, plant a garden, put rabbits and chickens in the freezer, milk goats, trim hooves, and all the while keeping the patience to learn whatever was just around the corner.

Thank God and Google! If we didn’t know how to do something, we learned. Now when we look out over our place and see every tree, every fence post and every board, we can say, we put that there!

Seems that much of what we do as trainers is overcome natural instinct.
We teach pulling dogs not to pull, hunting dogs not to hunt, herding dogs not to herd, guarding dogs not to guard, fighting dogs not to fight and dogs born without clothing to dress up. “Harold Hansen”
